Boy Maas is a blockchain R&D engineer with 25+ years in tech, specializing in distributed systems and cryptographic protocols. Active in crypto since 2018 as a founding top-10 EOS block producer, he later joined a blockchain R&D firm (2022–2024) where he developed consensus algorithms, ran a 15,000-node global test, and worked on libp2p, IPLD, state channels, and onion-routed networks.
He was also early in on-chain arbitrage and privacy-preserving communication research.
Since 2024, he’s been building JamZig⚡, a Zig-based implementation of the JAM protocol, passing conformance tests up to v0.6.5. His work spans Ethereum DeFi, Solana contracts, Substrate protocols, and RISC-V VMs—primarily coding in Rust and Zig. Boy has founded several startups, turning deep R&D into real-world systems.
